Who doesn’t enjoy a good glass of red wine now and then? And even better, who isn’t dreaming of sunny days in the middle of vineyards enjoying some good food and good company? You might think of Bordeaux or Tuscany first but Austria has some amazing wine (and vineyards) too!
Summer in the city? Yes please! I dared to visit NYC in the summer and although it was as hot and humid as I feared, after all it wasn’t that bad. Of course I didn’t walk through the concrete jungle during the hottest time of the day if I could avoid it.
What locals simply call the cape actually is the shortcut for Cape Cod, a peninsula and popular summer destination that offers endless sandy beaches, lots of hiking and bike trails and the epicentre of hippie and gay tourism in the artsy town of Provincetown.
I just got back from a little vacation and while others are flocking to the beaches during this time of the year, my trip wasn’t the typical summer destination – but you know – with a bf living far away, your holiday planning becomes pretty straightforward 😉
Summer is awesome, but can be a pain in the city. A great way to escape the muggy air is seeking higher elevations, which luckily aren’t far from Vienna. You don’t even need a car to reach one of the nicest trails in the Wiener Alpen, the so-called Viennese Alps and you even get to visit a UNESCO heritage.
