Welcome to Miami!

May 8, 2015
Miami south beach

As we were driving further south, the idyllic beach settlements turned more into city scenery with lots of high-rise buildings and a vibrant atmosphere full of shopping, beach and entertainment possibilities – we arrived in Miami Beach! The streets are fringed with palm trees, the sun is shining, the bars are serving crazy cocktails creations – if you don’t get into holiday mood there, you probably won’t get it anywhere else. South Beach is the party hot-spot of Miami Beach, famous for its beautiful art déco architecture and the massive white-sand beach which stretches for miles. The water was turquoise and crystal-clear, so the conditions were perfect for a swim and definitely needed in the heat! We also enjoyed watching the scene on famous Ocean Drive, which is basically a runway for people who want to be seen – either in bizarre outfits (or shall I say non-outfits??) or driving up and down in (mostly rented) fancy cars. I wasn’t bored for a second because Miami has it all – great restaurants, great shopping, great beach.

Great photos! I stayed in Miami for a few days when I was about 12 because my Mum went there for a conference and took our whole family. Unfortunately I hardly got to see anything much because we were very, very jetlagged! (We had flown from Australia!) This makes me want to go back and experience it properly 🙂

Bunte Zebrastreifen wären mal was fürn Winter in Wien…

Aja, dein neues, aufgeräumtes und schlichtes Design ist super!
